Amy Mackie Appointed Managing Director, Ticketing at TEG
Amy Mackie has been appointed as the Managing Director, Ticketing at TEG, the Australia-based live entertainment, ticketing, and tech company. In this newly created role, Mackie will oversee TEG's ticketing strategy and operations across Australia, New Zealand, Asia, and the United Kingdom. Her appointment makes her a member of TEG’s executive committee, reporting directly to TEG CEO Cameron Hoy. This promotion follows a series of executive changes within the company.
SYDNEY, Australia – Amy Mackie has been named Managing Director, Ticketing at TEG, the parent company of Ticketek. This appointment, announced this week, signifies a key step in TEG’s ongoing executive restructuring.
In her new role, Mackie will be responsible for TEG's overall ticketing strategy and operations across several key regions, including Australia, New Zealand, Asia, and the United Kingdom. She will collaborate closely with general managers for ticketing and memberships in each region, including Melvin Koh, the recently appointed General Manager, Ticketing Asia.
Mackie will join TEG’s executive committee and report directly to Cameron Hoy, who recently assumed the CEO position. Hoy, previously the Chief Operating Officer and Head of Global Ticketing, was promoted following the departure of former CEO Brad Banducci.
Bringing over 17 years of experience to the role, Mackie has a background spanning product, technology, marketing, and operations within the ticketing business. Her previous positions include managing director, ticketing solutions, and General Manager of Ticketek U.K.
TEG, or Ticketek Entertainment Group, is an Australian giant in live entertainment, ticketing, and technology. It is owned by Silver Lake, a U.S.-based private equity firm specializing in technology investing, acquired in 2019 for over A$1.3 billion. The company's portfolio includes Ticketek, TEG Dainty, TEG Van Egmond, TEG Live, TEG Sport, TEG Experiences, and Ovation.
Ticketek, founded in 1979, states on its official website that it sells over 23 million tickets to more than 20,000 events annually across Australia. The ticketing specialist currently operates offices in seven countries, including the United Kingdom, Singapore, Malaysia, and the Philippines.
According to Billboard, Cameron Hoy expressed his delight in Mackie's appointment, citing her significant depth of experience, while Mackie conveyed her excitement to lead the established team, focusing on high standards and the link between technology, product, and operations.
