Aston Villa Signs Scotland Forward Mia McAulay from Rangers
Aston Villa has announced the signing of Scotland international forward Mia McAulay from Scottish Women's Premier League side Rangers. The 19-year-old winger developed through the Rangers academy, making her senior debut at 16. She accumulated over 100 appearances for her childhood team and has also made five appearances for the Scotland national team, after debuting in May 2025.
Aston Villa, a Women's Super League (WSL) club, has completed the signing of Scotland international forward Mia McAulay from Rangers.
The 19-year-old winger progressed through the academy ranks at Rangers, eventually breaking into the first team squad in the Scottish Women's Premier League. McAulay made her senior debut for Rangers at the age of 16 and went on to make more than 100 appearances for the club.
On the international stage, McAulay made her Scotland debut in May 2025 and has since earned five caps for her country.
This signing follows an earlier transfer on Wednesday, where Kirsty Hanson, Aston Villa's top-scorer from the previous season, moved to WSL rivals Tottenham.
